Log Bar.

We have another training modality at my fitness facility.  It is termed as the log bar.  The benefit of working out on a log bar is that the parallel grips of the bar are truly shoulder friendly.  Individuals with shoulder injuries can execute movements with the log bar without having any fear of injury or even aggravating the injury.  The regular bar can be unyielding to individuals who have shoulder injuries;  whereas, pressing on a log bar feels so much at ease.

If you can peek into the adjoining video you can check  us bench press, clean and press, and barbell row on a log bar.  Especially, when it comes to bench press, I  had the exact measurement of the handles, as I didn’t want the handles to fall on the pins of the bench.

  1. Apart from being safe on the shoulders, is there any other benefit from gripping parallel? For ex-will it help isolate the muscle better?
