Behold! We Need Sunshine.

I believe we have all lost sight of exposing our bodies to regular sunlight, for it is well researched that sunshine improves blood circulation in the skin, natural immunity, soothes pain, and lowers blood pressure. It also stimulates the endocrine system, metabolism, and the production of vitamin D needed for management of calcium and phosphorous.
Vitamin D which can be derived from certain foods is also endogenously produced in the body from sunlight. Vitamin D has hormone-like function as regulators of mineral metabolism. Vitamin D is essential for promoting calcium absorption and phosphate concentration to enable normal mineralization of bone. It is also needed for bone growth. Without vitamin D bones can become thin, brittle, and misshapen. Vitamin D sufficiency prevents rickets in children and osteomalacia in adults. Together with calcium, vitamin D also helps protects older adults from osteoporosis.
Vitamins and minerals are required for proper functioning of the body. A vitamin is an organic compound obtained from plants and animals, and as a nutrient it is needed in tiny amounts by an organism. Vitamins cannot be synstesised in the body but has to be obtained from the diet we eat. Minerals are inorganic substances that come from the soil and water and are absorbed by plants or eaten by animals.
